PostSubject: Re: Margaret's Blog   Sun Feb 01, 2009 1:31 am

It is Saturday evening. 9:21 p.m. to be exact. Nothing much happening on my end of the sphere. I attended a ceremony last evening of my neice and her husband renewing their wedding vows. It was so beautiful. They were dressed stunning and her two daughters were little darlings. The oldest has Cystic Fibrosis. but she is coping so well. She met her somewhat new husband on the internet. He is from Scotland. I love his accent. we had a couple os snowstorms recently and a third is moving in for Tuesday. Brrrrr ! I haven't remembered a winter like this one for many many years. It is maddening. I mind the cold more now since developing a knee problem. I pulled a ligament in my left knee and it pains mostly when I sit and have it bent, but also pains outside when walking in the cold or wind. I go monday for my first therapy treatment. I hope it will do some good and get rid of the pain.
I hope all of you are enjoying your days, evenings, and week-ends. my mother will soon be joining the computer genreration. I think my brother is giving her one for her birthday which is on February 11th. Plus I think he is buying or bought her a desk and computer chair as she has no place to put her computer. that will be so nice to be able to send her emails and jokes (clean) as well as photos. That's all for now. Bye for now. it's so nice to be back reading peoples work and posting comments on thier achievements.
Bye for now. Stay safe and be well. Enjoy each day.

PostSubject: Re: Margaret's Blog   Mon Jan 19, 2009 8:37 pm

Today is a mild but cloudy day. After about three snowstorms since before the holidays I am glad to have finally some mild weather. I bet it won't last too long. Today it is late afternoon, actually almost suppertime. I managed to read one persons poem/ story but will be back later to read more. It will take me a while to catch up on everyones work. I trust you all had a wonderful holiday. I myself did. marvelous and beautiful. I am sorry it is all over for another ten months or eleven. I stand corrected...LOL. I didn't have to go to the school today to collect any children so I spent most of my day at my mothers. I did some things for her and then my aunt stopped by with her neighbor and we all had a nice chat. She dropped a video tape off for her sister, ( my mother) and asked how she was feeling. The reason for her asking that was : Let me explain. Last wednesday her and my mother ( her sister) left in the evening to go to bingo as they have been doing for many years. Not long after they started playing mom replied to her sister : I think I'm going to be sick. She did go to the washroom and got sick. She was brought home where she felt ill for about four or five days after that. She is now getting back to her old self. I am so glad. She couldn't eat or drink much of anything since that night. Her sister was glad to know she wis feeling herself also.

I still haven't got all my decorations put away yet. With taking my neice to school and picking up her and another neice and nephew and helping mum, and looking after my own place I don't get much time in my own home. But I put things off because I believe my mother and others come first before myself. I can always catch up in time. So there isn't much to write about today. I'll be back again soon with I hope something new to write about...LOl Bye for now Take care everyone and have a blessed and wonderful day.

PostSubject: Margaret's blog   Thu Jan 08, 2009 2:02 am

I am back after a very long absence. I apologize. I have been very busy going in and out of the house before the holidays and today is my first time online since that time. I haven't posted any poems since my last. I am working on one soon. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I had a beautiful Christmas and new years. I got so many nice gifts. In fact my tree and decorations are still up. I haven't got a chance to take them down yet. Plus I had a painful knee. I have osteoporosis and it attacked my knee a couple of years ago and now it is getting worse. I am taking anti-inflammatory pills but it's not helping any. going out in the cold and dampness is so painful.
But enough of my ailments. I am so glad to be back. I didn't even get to post once more before lavendar mist closed. I feel bad about that. But I am glad we have poetic skies now. Well I must go now and hello to all my poetic skies friends. I'll be posting a new poem soon.
Bye.... sunny

I aapologise for not being on much lately. I have been coming and going so much my head is spinning...LOL But actually after hallowe'en I was taking kids to school, helping mum bring out her christmas decorations, going to pick up kids from school and so on and so forth, you know the drill. So I have been busy with that and looking after my own house. I have my tree up and decorated but much cleaning to do and with only three days until christmas eve I am bogged down with housework and shopping and other errands. i hope to get into town tomorrow afternoon and back home again before dark. We are having a snowstorm as I type this so I am hoping it is all over by mid morning. If not it will be the following day. So other than that not much to write about. there is also strong winds so I hope we don't lose our power tonight.I wish everyone on this site and their families a very .....

I haven't blogged for a while because I was so busy, out or just too tired to go on the computer. I was awake all night last night. Not by choice. I had put my tree up. I put the lights on it sttarting in the afternoon and finished by middle of the evening. Then I started with the decorations. In between that I told my mother I would cook some Hamburger helper to have the following day for lunch. That didn't take long but I had already been up a long time by now but I wasn't going to go to bed until these tasks were fulfilled. So finally everything was complete. it was really late now. So I laid down and closed my eyes, but everytime I heard something on tv I turned to look at it, as it sounded interesting. After many times of doing this it just kept getting later and later. And besides all this my brother called and asked if I would set my alarm as he wanted to go hunting to try to catch a deer. I said ok I'll set it for 4:00a.m. So I did. I waited. Four thirty came, five O'clock came, Five thirty came,no brother. Then he called and said his alarm went off and he fell back to sleep but he would be down in a few minutes. So I never did get to fall asleep at all. Then I had to go to his place to get my neice up ffor school. I was a walking robot the whole day. So when I got home in the afternoon I got my supper, ate, then laid on the coach, eventually falling to sleep. I had started to watch the local news but don't remember a thing that was on. But at least I got to close my eyes and sleep a while, much needed sleep I must add.

Went to mums early this morning to help her out with decorating. Did that then came home afternoon. We had our second snowstorm last night into this morning. Snowflurries falling every once in a while. My driveway is not shovleled out yet and I can't get out to shovel until after church. Then I can do some. mums is being shoveled now by my 72 year old brother-in-law. he wants to do it and he is very good at it. I was surprised to see him but he does things like that for mum. He is the one who lost his wife in July ( my sister) whom I memntioned in previous posts and wrote poems about.
So that is it for today. I must go now and boil some water for tea. take care and enjoy your week-end everyone.
GOD BLESS !!!!

Hello

Today it was nasty weather. Strong winds and heavy rain. I managed to get home before it got worse. I helped mum by bringing some of her christmas ornaments and decorations up from the beasement. Went for our mail which ended up being junk mail. Then I got a drive to the school from one of my sisters. Then I came home and did laundry. Now I am drying them. I also cleaned up some in my house. Not much to write about but that's what I did today. So I will watch some tv while the clothes are drying. And finish my coffee.
Bye for now

Today was a nice day. I helped mum for a bit,got to visit with my sister, one who doesn't live nearby. We all had coffee together then she left as did I. Then I went to our annual merchandise christmas bingo at our Lion's Club Hall. It was the second one. My mother, one of my sisters went also as well as one of her daughters. None of us won unfortunately. We got set so much but just could not snag a prze. better luck next week.
I came home had supper, watched some tv and am still watching tv and relaxing. It was raining hard today and windy. very windy. Still more rain to come in fact it's calling for rain all week and by week-end we could see some snow. I would rather snow anyday than rain but it is important for crops. I start back tomorrow after a vacation from taking my neice to school. My brother was off since the summer ended on stress leave. he returns to work tomorrow and I have to be up at the crack of dawn.
That's all for now. BAck again tomorrow.

Today I cleaned mums house, tried to hook up cable in one of her bedrooms with no success as I didn't have much time left. had to leave to pick up my neice & nephew from school. I tried again after I got back home but no success. I will try tomorrow when I am not rushed. I have ben home now for about an hour and a half. Had time for a coffe now watching our local news. I am going to have another cup of coffee then go to mums as she said she would like to have me come over for a few hours. Then I'll come home and put some of my christmas ornaments out. I have started already but it seems I am always taken away from it for one reason or another. But I'll get there soon. I have lots of patience. So I will go now and make my second cup of coffee.
Bye for now. Check back tomorrow for another update. take care everyone and GOD bless !

Today was a very busy day.I helped my cousin clean a fridge her family was giving mum. It took most of the day to clean and and my cousin put all the parts together again . her bother and his brother - in - laws helped bring the fridge in. But it doesn't stop there. Mum was giving me her fridge she had so they wheeled that one over across the street to my place. Then the old one I had they took outside and my cousin pushed the door off and put it in the back of the house. I will call the people to remove the freeon then put it out on garbage day.
So I had an hour to come home bath and get ready for church. I had some time left so I wetn over to mums early and my two other sisters came. One of them drives all of us to church. So now I have a big fridge with lots of room in it and a big freezer which I never had in the other one I had. I feel good now. I'm not sure how long this one will last since mum had it for about 25 or 30 years. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
That is how my day went today. The fridge is all cleaned out and food put back in it. I never ate yet today so I am going to go make some supper and I will blog again tomorrow.
Bye for now everyone.

Today was a dreary damp day as we had showers and it was damp with drizzle. But not bad. I went for coffee to my mothers as I my brother and one of my sisters gather there each morning until he goes back to work later this month. My sister takes her two youngest to school then stops by for a vist. When they leave I do a few things for mum and come home for lunch check for our mail then leave to pick up my neice and nephew. my sister is off tomorrow so I have the day off from the school. But it is cleaning day at mums house so I don't have the day off completely. But I'm used to that. I've been doing it for about 25 years now. Plus cleaning my own home and in between picking up my neice and nephew from school it sure keeps me busy. Sunday I go to a merchandise bingo just up my street about 5 minutes away. Every christmas and easter they hold bingos to raise money for the community. I love them. I wait all year long for these and most times I am lucky at winning prizes or cash. So our first one is Sunday aafternoon for two hours.
That's it for todays blog
Tune in tomorrow when I will write another entry.

Subject: Margaret's Blog Today at 8:28 pm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I was up early. Landlord was coming so I wanted to make sure the place was neat and tidy. It was halfway decent. I cleaned the best I could considering the space I have. Went over to mums later in the morning. Had coffee with her and my neice came and my brother and another of my sisters who works as a postamster near where she lives. She doesn't get to come in for visits very often. And she just recently got custody of her two grandaughters. So she was excited to come in and show them to whoever was at mums then. They are adorable. Such little cuties. Absolutely adorable.

Then mum cooked lunch for all of us. I after a fashion got up and cleared the table washed the dishes made her bed and another sister came to take mum and myself and my neice to my sisters gravesite on this which would have been her 65th birthday. And my sister who looks after her grave clearing debris and garbage away had some glass flowers to place on her grave and our fathers. They were beautiful. We had our little vist at the gravesite and she drove us home. I when I got up this morning lit a candle in rememberance of her and because it is the date of her birthday, November 5th. It was a sad time but I promised myself I would do it. So I did.

Then after my sister left with her granddaughters I went to get mine and mums mail and then after opening my mail said well I am going to go home now so you can have a nap. She had been up early and I knew she was wishing she could lay back. After all with her painful body she stayed on her feet to cook a delicious meal for all of us. I wish I had of been the one cooking for her.

Tonight after supper I will be going to church as it All Souls Day and there is a service for all the people who died this year and for all the souls of the people who lost loved ones over the years.
That's my large blog for todays entry....LOL

It is evening now but it's only now I got the time to blog for today. I started my day heading over to my mothers place. My sister and brother were there and we all had coffee. it is so nice together but it will soon end as my brother who was off work for two months on stress leave will be going back to work Monday. So no more day visits from him. My sister will still be over for coffee so that is nice.I made her bed when they left and had to leave early today to pick up my little neice and nephew from school. It was parent/teacher day so they got out at lunch time. I left when their older sister got home. I stay each day until she arrives home. They are adorable children but hit each other on the way home and the little guy who started school for the first time in September likes to get behind her and push her. That starts a little rivalry. Then I need to step in and discipline him. Then she pushes back and I have to discipline her. And so the story goes. It is so nice when we finally get to their place.

When I got home to my place I set up my washer and did my laundry. Landlord is coming tomorrow morning with a man to access the house. Not sure if he's selling it or just being audited. Might know tomorrow if he cares to tell me. But it's not my business but if he's selling I hope I don't have to move. I have my name in a seniors complex about 8 minutes away from the house I live in now. So as my laundry is in the dryer I thought I would blog before the evening was over. Nothing much to blog about wiith me as I pretty much do the same thing each day. Karen I read your blog and was so happy to see you've presented some entries. It was sad reading them though. How are you coming along with the selling of your home ? And change yet ? I hope so. It is another frustrating event isn't it in your life, like you don't have enough to worry about already. I do hope things get better for you and soon.
That's all for now

Today is Sunday afternoon. I went to my mothers this morning. Had a coffe with her, made her bed, washed some didhes, got some things out of the basement for her and posted a letter. Then I came home to do some things at my place. I did have lunch with her also. One of my sisters made a stew yesterday and brought some to mum so we enjoyed that for lunch. She invited me back for supper. Having chopped egg sandwiches, some more leftovers from the same sister. Then a delicious dessert of which I forget what it is. I saw it in the dish but didn't ask what it was. But it looked scrumptious and I'll enjoy every bite. Sorry if I am making any of you who read this hungry....LOL I am going to finish typing this blog for today then making a tea and having a rest before going over for supper. So hope you all had a wonderful hallowe'en and are enjoying your week-end.
Bye for now
Tune in tomorrow as I'll be entering another blog for Monday.

PostSubject: Re: Margaret's Blog   Thu Oct 30, 2008 12:12 am

This morning I was awake early, 7:10a.m. to be exact. I would have loved to have stayed in bed another few hours but I didn't. I had planned on going in to town this morning early to get back early but then changed my mind and decided to go aafter I got home from picking up my neice and nephew from their school. I met my brother coming from the school and he asked me if I was going in to town and I said yes when I get back home again. I needed to get my purse.

Well I never heard from him again so I waited an hour and a half then decided to leave for the bus. It was a bit windy outside but not bad. I was bundled up quite heavy so I was prepared. I also took my gloves.

I also bought some household items to send my youngest daughter. her birthday is November 7th. She will be 35.
My mother went out with her sister to bingo as she does most every wednesday, they have for years, so I am waiting for her to come home as I always go over to meet her and make sure she gets inside safe and secure.

So now I am relaxing a bit with a nice hot cup of tea. So that's day. I hope you enjoy reading it. I do pretty much the same thing each day. Get up, go to mums, have coffee with her , my sister whos children I pick up at school and one of my brothers. It is a nice sociable time together. I really enjoy it. We tell jokes, we laugh, and then after an hour and a half my sister leaves to go home to get ready for work. Then I either come home and do a bit of housework or I'll stay for lunch if mum invites me. Then I leave to get the little munchikins from school.

Bye for now
Take Care Everyone !

Well it is now Tuesday evening almost midnight. I did some straighteneing up cleaning and dishes. I do what I can when I can. Now I am watching tv and typing this while having a cigarette and a cup of tea. I am having so much fun on Poetic Skies. It didn't take me long to find my way around the new site. And it is beautiful. I wouldn't expect anything less from our dear lady friend karen.
I did some other work today, went to the banking machine, got mine and my mothers amil, had a coffee with her and my sister then came home. Did a lot at my place. This is probably boring to some but this is what I did.
I did finsh with my mother watching a DVD of my daughter, her boyfriend and three children she created for me. It was both the boys birthdays, last year, hallowe'en last year and christmas last year. It was a lot of fun to watch and I am glad she did it for me. Also they all stayed in a hotel in British Columbia, Canmore to be exact. There was a beautiful view of the snowy mountains out of their window. It was breathtaking.

That's all for now...isn't that enough ? lol...hehehe

Today I had a busy day. I did some work for my mother. Had a coffee with her and my sister before my sister went to work. I usually go pick up her two children (my neice and nephew ) from school but since it rained her husband didn't go to work today. he does siding and cannot work if it's very windy or it rains. So I had a day off. It was nice. So I had lunch at mums then came home cooked two little meatloaves for dinner. I took some of it over to mum to have for her lunch tomorrow. They were good I must admit and I love meatloaf. Then I went over after dinner to show her a DVD my oldest daughter sent me of her and my grandchildren. It was a mixture of Hallowe'en last year and an outing at Chucky Chees for my youngest grandson's bbirthday. His sixth. Then last years christmas. It was fun to watch but we haven't got through the whole DVD yet as mum had a couple shows to watch as did I. I told her we can continue it tomorrow. So now I am home now and had a drink of tea.Now I am going to have another tea and watch Dancing With The Stars. So bye for now.
Tune into my blog tomorrow and I'll have more to write about.
