| Long time since I blogged. Love the good weather but we still had a lot of wind along the East Coast, but it has been really dry. (for a change)
I had a facial yesterday by a beauty therapist. It was a Christmas voucher from my daughter which I have just used up. I had a massage, facial, eybrows done Very relaxing with all those aromatheric oils used. I could have gone to sleep.
I thought I was going to theatre tonight to see CABARET, but it is next week. I saw DINNER LADIES last week. I love to go to see shows, but I do like musicials best I like the feel good factor they give you. _________________ |

But I did miss them it was SO quiet. claire said I'll give you a rest Well she she did but I still saw some on some days.
anywayy I will be back on the school run next week after my break.
Roll on sunny weather cos it is really cold on the playground. A lot of wind from an open field.
Take care everyone _________________ |

| well i was selected for jury service. last week and all this week what a b...............farce. I rang in last monday and tuesday evening and then told to go into court this monday. Well we had to be there by 9am what a day to go out early snowning hard , freezing aand very cold. we had a lot around the court had a drink and then we were told the case had not arrived so we could go home The jurors all have to go else you can be imprisoned. (lol). come back Tuesday We duly reported back Tuesday then we were told 2 cases were on. Well the outcome was we were finaally sent home by 3 pm another long boring day, So today we arrived again and there were another lot of jurors had arrived. But it was going to be a long trial. so once again we were not picked. Sso we were told we were finally dismissed at 11 am. I was a bit dissapointed actually. I would loved to have been a juror on a little case But it was not to be. So there you are folk _________________ |

| right it seems ages since I blogged it, so I tell a little tale. Do any of you ever wih you had never started something Well in my house i have not got enough electric sockets, so after Christmas I decided to get an elelctrian in to do the job f or me Started on monday, (cost was going to be to £180.00. Well sockets in but while testing, we were told there was a problem, Needed a new circuit board. Brian and I agreed, another 480.pounds. All day WEdnesday and Thursday morning Electric power ws on/off. Off/on all day. Then today we were told about another problem The socket readings are all to high. Don't know all the technical details. but we were told because all the wiring is under floor boards and they cannot gain access, it made need all re wiring . Cost A BLOODY LOT. Of course I was a bit upset. But it is all the new regulations now a days. We have been using all these sockets for years (no problem) and this is all because they want to issue a certificate. I was hoping to get a new wooden floor put down but that my have to be out on hold. This is rea lly unfair for it is getting money out of innocent people who have to depend on others to do jobs for them. It does make my blood boil because if we lived in a Council house, all this would be free to us. Because we own our property, we never get any benefits at all. We hve worked all our lives and yet get nothing given to us at all. Sorry folk if I am ion my high horse, but I am so annoyed. All this because I wnted more electric sockets. _________________ |

| Well haven't been on Blog for a while, but with christmas and New Year, and birthdays. Brian was 70 in December and since then he has been ill. He had the flue jab but I don't know what he would have been like if he had not had it.
But he is a man and he was so miserable. He was in bed all christmas Day we were going to my daughter's house with my MUm, she is 93. so I was in a quandry. Leave Brian in bed or stay and leave my MUm by herself. So the better of two evils I left Brian as I would get more grief from my Mum. I spent all christmas eve, without talking as he was ill. Then New year;s eve, still ill so by 11 pm he said I'll turn TV off and go to bed (LOL) I said it is New Year's Eve. So he then said I FORGOT How can anyone forget New Year's Eve. We then stayed up and had a drink to 2009
Well today he is a bit better. But I am annoyed at him because on Thursday 8th January he has an eye operation and if he is not any better then it will be cancelled. (Been cancelled twice already) and he cannot see properly.
anyway I have finished complaining now, so I wish all my friends on Poetic skies a very Happy 2009 _________________ |

| Yesterday was rather a sad day for me. I went to the funeral of a friend. Actually he was my daugher and her husbands best friend.
He was only 44 years old and for the last 18 months has been in hospital. (he was born with Cystic Fribrosic) and had had a double lung transplant over 12 years ago. He was 100per cent fit until last year and he started to be ill. got phenmonia and inn January this year, had another double lung transplant.
Sadly he never recovered and two weeks ago he died in hospital.
It just makes you feel glad to be alive when something like this happens. _________________ |

| Well today I went to church bright and early. a pleasant day, slightly windy. It was Rememberance Sunday and I belong a Methodist church. there is a church of england further down in the village of Sutton upon Hull. we had a combined service with British Legion representatives, Army cadets, and brownies and guides were there as well. so our small chapel was full. which was good of course. After a short service, those who were able walked through the village to the Memorial and wreaths were placed there by the different organisations. It was a very moving service and special as it was 90 years since the first anniversary. So long ago, but these people MUST never be forgotton. One day the worlsd will BE at Peace. Hopefully in my lifetime And then believe it or not I wrote christmas Cards this afternoon. I am away at the end of November until Decemb er 14th so I have to be prepared (like a boy scout) and get theings sorted early this year. _________________ |

| I'm like karen and absolutley hate this damp, cold windy miserable weather.
Luckily I am away and hope to see the Florida sun at the end of this month. Gives us a break from our weather.
I hope to be wearing shorts and my swimming cossi.
I don't think my little grandson likes this weather either as for two days he has been unwell. Saying he feels cold. Yet he is still up and about, thank goodness.
Well hope we see a bit warmer weather soon so me and Karen can feel warmer.
have a good night all. Bye. _________________ |

| Hello everyone, today is Sunday 26th October is my 45th Wedding anniversary. It was a bitterly cold day, but did not rain I had two bridesmaid and they made their own dresses. They also made my wedding dress which cost the huge amount of £5.00/ It was made from silk brocade.
We then went to BLACKPOOL for our honeymoon for the weekend. Did I hear you say WOW. Well it was all we could afford.
We had three children and now have six grandchildren and two great children.
Yes I would do it all again. |
