I notice I'm decreasingly concerned with some basic possibilities and am increasingly of the opinion that events will somehow take ample care of themselves. Tomorrow I should shave, which can seem laborious. Right now I have a sort of aching of my stomach. My typing of this little attempt at reportage seems rather fun --- actually. Meanwhile, I'm speculating as to what dietary fiasco may have caused my stomach to feel sadly far from comfortable. (I mainly suspect a combination of rather rich foods along with a couple of small apples. As I continue to keyboard along I definitely renotice how strong that hurting is continuing to be. I suspect that within several minutes I may feel somewhat less bothered.)

Nearly ready to turn in, I soon may have an ice-cream treat. Today saw me somewhat consternated by new paperwork. I posted on Poetic Skies, rather laboriously. Tomorrow I should grocery shop. My bathroom sink seemed to require extra attention. Before I turn in, I will do my usual sorts of oral hygiene. I fancy the possibility I may not really be overeating these days; however, I remain rather good at fooling myself. My favorite posting in Poetic Skies always may be in the category of HAIKU MADNESS, although (for all I know) I'm very likely to be losing whatever basic 'knack' I ever may have had in that syllabic format.

Wallowing in self-pity today, I truly was showing my infantile side (mostly to myself?). I briefly was with several women with whom I now have been acquainted awhile, and they essentially were seeming cordial toward me. I couldn't avoid feeling that they merely tolerated me. Similarly, here -- on Poetic Skies -- I increasingly sense I may be liked but quite loathed. For several hours I've had an absolutely throbbing headache, which is far from usual for me. I should, I tell myself, eat less food. I also should make a point of endeavoring to blog sensibly. Monterey and the world perhaps continue along nicely enough, in many areas of likelihood. I not many moments ago learned that today is Presidents' Day. A neighbor kindly told me that when I had inquired of her as to whether any mail had arrived. Anyhow, I've done some actual sobbing. Soon I may have some dinner, so accustomed am I to permitting myself to stay more than adequately supplied with ~vittles.~

I heartily congratulate David (David Fox) and others on recent successes. My next prospective book (ESSAYS OF MULTIPLE SORTS ~~Two~~) is shaping up, I suppose, although my SMUG SENRYU series somehow always seemed to be more fully likely to shape up definitively. Meanwhile, I'm continuing to discover I remain infatuated with many women and something like pals with more than a few men. I'm down to shaving twice a week, which in my always "scarce-bearded situation" may be sage and savvy --- I guess.

This afternoon I will go shopping at one of the local drugstores. Today, Sunday, begins "the new week" in terms of the advertising that that store offers its public. I always try to be rather alert in terms of special prices on certain items. Questions of economy definitely must remain paramount. Right now I especially am wondering about such commodities as mouthwashes, toothpaste, basic disposable shavers, and (almost horribly sad to say!) ice cream.

Kevin's musings on Halloween sound marvelously exuberant. When I was a boy, I actually went 'from door to door' for treats. Back then, something extra extreme but very basic may have been involved in such activity. My brother and I together did the Trick-or-Treating; we lived in Los Gatos, a relatively small town in California. Almost surely, that little town was full of special aspects of which I always had to stay ignorant. Our going from door to door that way worked out quite well, at least in some regards. My current hometown (Monterey) may experience much Halloween activity, I would suppose. I again am in a position of evident ignorance about much of that sort of question.

Having finished with my laundry for today, I figured I might say something here. The Western World apparently is in at least somewhat worse shape than I had imagined. Not having much contact with news sources, I'm likely to be more than slightly erroneous about many questions, but my main worries lately have been rather personal anyway. I detect the likelihood I'm overly active here in Poetic Skies. I try to post items I feel might be somewhat enjoyable, but my standards I myself would question.
