MY JACKETS
My jackets perform like a cover
for ways I eternally hover
as if 'round about me
the world has to doubt me
and often will say I'm no lover.
I meanwhile am dwelling in valleys
that mirror fine hallways and alleys
as worlds will produce
big formats as spruce
as scribbles transformed into galleys.
(Predicaments move us along
through moments inclusive of song
equipped to inhibit
all ways we exhibit
a wish to be something but wrong.)
