| Stargazing.
On terra firma, we search wide and far For tell tale signs, of some distant planets Watching, and waiting, as light from a star Slowly fades, as worlds complete their transits Planets revolve around another Sun Science looks for the light differential Always to wonder, if this is the one Whereupon life, would prove quintessential
And if such a world can be detected Mankind advances, to the speed of light Crosses the void, his target selected Overcoming the perils of space flight
Though eons may pass, with nothing to show Star systems exploded, light years ago

| Dear **Steve**: You homed in on bright lights that long ago fought their main fights. Your sonnet's precisions provided provisions for feeling in awe of fine sights. |

| Steve, I am still waiting for (and if) there is a day when there is life -- intelligent or not -- on some other planet on some other galaxy. Good poem. Your friend, David Fox |

| Thanks all. Yes Doreen, Rose and I are stargazing most evenings. Venus, and Jupiter are visible from here, and we shall be moving the telescope tomorrow night if its not cloudy. Did you watch Dr Brian Cox, (the next youngest looking after Cliff Richard). _________________ Steve www.noaddress.co.uk
