Evade every draft I will, and, therefore, I'm about to close all versions of Windows and go back to DOS-ing. I had resolved to be and stay brave, modern, and appropriately foolish, but I now sense a need and necessity to reboot in a rather mannered manner. Even as Floppy Drives seem horribly threatened and likely to be rendered quite extinct I've no wish to be a relinquisher who might not do some scrapping and verisimilar kinds of tapping. The "On" Switches are on; pane after pane of massive glass seems very transparent; I'm almost ready to take on the world, but never in any very complete ways or terms. As a guy who has reverted hugely -- has, in fact, gone back to nearly totally outdated and superannuated modes and modalities -- I must congratulate myself on being a "Non-Online" part of current configurables. For several years I hugged and rehugged the ("Famed"!) Internet; now (now that I merely am a DOS person again) some Word Processing cum Graphics will likely be my maximal speed as my Printer and I may somewhat sillily and relatively sluggishly be attempting to discover how to proceed more or less sensibly and gracefully. Evasive must be and must remain my possible to impossible expressiveness. I've, as usual, absolutely nothing to say. Hooked on to and in to some now "proven" techniques and technologies, I will perhaps be spewing some extra and additional ersatz bitlets and chunks of wiseness, wisdom, and mulling. Won very much over by my own voice, I may be phoning a possibly live Operator, at about seven o'clock on some new day. |
