what keeps people from sharing is it fear or greed?
most of us in the world today have more than we need
looking at the beggar with no home and only one leg
he has came back from the war zone now reduced to beg

even the ones who sent him to guard their own wealth
can't be bothered to feed him now he's in ill health
they are spoken about in the bible who cross to the other side
when the poor man had been beaten by some full of pride

first their was a high priest then a near by neighbour too
until a Samaritan came along this can be me and you
not for him to pass by but to share what little he had
for this deed he would gather much more so for this I'm glad

i would like you to believe me I'm not on a crusade
it's just what i notice and think it should be said
never one to hide my feelings they are on my arm
so if this stings some thoughts in you in that i don't see harm

I ought to absorb with more daring.
I hide behind grief
and show scant belief,
though Nature demands love and caring.

Although I don't have a lot, I will share some of my loose change should I see a beggar on the street. I might even buy him something to eat if he looks like he hasn't eaten in days and I have the money to do so. It is very noble of you to that you would do the same. Good poem.
