PostSubject: Irresolution   Sat Jan 07, 2012 11:04 pm

................

Irresolution................................

In my soul, my thirst moves................................
like dreaming birds in the night watch.................................
I search for wisdom's perfect venture,................................
yet I know too that shades of grey................................
are as swans balancing on cool waters flux.................................

My prudent wings enfold you................................
determined to bosom your stirrings,................................
but I watch you weaken, pondering solemnly my words................................
and know this of you................................
druthering soft courses is only just a moments appeasement................................

Wisdom then is just wordless after thoughts, anxious one.................................
Your face, its paleness glistens rivulets of tears................................
and as I wait, my heart flutterings tighten with zeal.................................
But you know of my love,................................
you know I won't leave unless the birds too stop watching.................................

Dear **Ardent BC**: You appear
enmeshed in becoming quite near.
Your vision of loving
is: pushing and shoving
reduced into failing to veer.

Like a Star @ heaven

Thank you for taking a look Bruce. You know, it's a pretty personal poem, and that you don't know the background I cannot fault your assessment. But thanks for your comment:-)

Dear **Darling BC**: I 'assess'
with jingles that only may guess.
You likely exist so
completely I missed so
completely I caused some distress.

Welcome to the poetic skies site BC

I loved your poem, which resounded with the movements and images of birds, and left the reader wondering...

Thank you Gilly. I love writing dreamy, metaphoric writing that shares my passion.

Bruce - guess I'm so close to the subject matter I hadn't, at first, understood that others would find it coldhearted:-) But should we write, it is for the reader. And the reader is always welcomed to their thoughts. You've not caused distress, only introspection . . ..

A very beautiful poem, BC Very Happy

You're off to a great start!

I love the way that you weave the bird imagery through your poem.

You have a wonderful grasp on subtle emotions and thoughts.

A dreamy, introspective poem with many layers of meanings.

I enjoyed reading it a lot!

Best,
Carol

A wonderful early posting BC, and welcome.
Very poetic and as you say whimsically metephorical, I liked the intertwined birds.
I am guessing "druthering" is a local dialect for I would rather...

BC,
This is very intriguing. I was drawn into it. It is a little to deep for me I think, but such is the mark of a great poem!
Your new friend,
David Fox
