| A FELLOW
A fellow recently apparently came to my door and delivered rather toward me a lovely full-year appointment book for the upcoming year. I'm very grateful to be the recipient of that same book, and I soon may be firing off a perhaps terribly tedious thank-you note to my landlord -- the actual entity on behalf of which, or of whom, that calendrical item seems to have reached me. Little "fellow-feeling" (as a certain now highly time-worn phrase goes) do I generally generate. That kind fellow who probably was the actual deliverer of that very same sort of gift item to various tenants, both in my building and, also, elsewhere, likely has sensed I'm at least a bit of a very monstrous kind of pill. Even so -- perhaps out of a sense of sheer duty -- , he (that aforementioned person) actually did me the honor of providing me with that fine, if noticeably compact, gift. I'm rehearsing, at least somewhat, as to what sort of textuality and format I might employ in my soon to be written thank-you note. My intentionality strongly tilts away from any attempt to mention by name or by station the actual deliverer of that gift. I may suspect I very deeply may know the precise name of that gift carrier; however, his -- if not, actually her? -- identity perforce now rather hugely seems lost in some thick shroud of extreme uncertainty and mystery. The aforementioned calendric booklet appears to have been very quietly dropped immediately outside my apartment's front door. Since (as has happened in now seemingly numerous previous years) that appointment book has the name of my landlord, along with the upcoming year, etched thereon rather goldenly, I'll be addressing some fervent thanks to my landlord -- more succinctly and worthily, I hope, than I've written this. |
