| THE CUPBOARD WAS EMPTY
On beholding the kitchen's integrity,
we knew that things were great.
The cupboard that had been
full of crackers, canned meats,
and some bags of banana chips
now was as empty as hell.
We gladly washed a dish and
began watching the telly (which
was on top of the fridge).
The fridge was as empty as hell.
The cat was as empty as hell. |

| It sounds like you and Old Mother Hubbard have something in common, Bruce. Old Mother Hubbard Went to the cupboard, To give the poor dog a bone: When she came there, The cupboard was bare, And so the poor pecker had none.
