CAMELLIA
Each petal tells a story
of how the eastern seaboard grew.
Each stem reflects the glory
of an eastern form of zoo.
The colors, hefts, and sizes
life slowly reprizes.

Dear **Scott**: I thus gave pretty blooming
a rather brief sort of entombing?
Equipped with trite rhymes,
I foundered -- in climes
permissive of clouds seldom zooming.

Dear **David**: I'm thrilled by your answer,
which sings with the grace of some dancer.
You've witnessed how petals
may own splendid mettles
for pleasing the saddest romancer?

Dear **Gilly**: I frankly admit
I dwell in some cesspool or pit.
Were I nicely human,
I might own acumen
enough to show worthier wit.

I love you
