Best Friend

This could be a person, an animal, bird... or maybe you even have a place that you consider to be a friend.

My best friends always are my enemies
They need to sleep with fish or sea anemonies
And visit lockers , Davy Jones presiding
Or possibly volcanoes, with lava co-inciding

And then insert their heads into their....classes
(For education only saves the masses
And I have often heard and oft mantained
The bestest friends and enemies are maimed)

And though to win this contest I am doubting
I'd like to crave thy pardon for my pouting
It's just with girlfriend trouble all the trend
It's hard to even re-collect a friend!

Best friend is the one who knows you well
Lift you up when all the world seems hell
Takes you down if you try to fly too high
Understands you without asking why
Cries with you when you need sympathy
Helps you out for nothing, willingly
You do the same for them, when they need it too
I've got one of them, her name is Sue

Friends
SEND
Love letters
Or possibly fetters
(Of the funnest kind)
Although they may not mind
When you break FREE
Of their diameter
Just circle back,
When finished with your spree
Or your hexameter
And if they're loving kind
You'll find return's a given
And as to your wrong-doings
They're all of them forgiven
