A poem written for a challenge elsewhere...
Using the words, cat, dog, ball, elf, wish, well.

...
Cool green feline eyes, unnoticed, unseen
A cat tail flicks in anticipation
While the hapless canine starts his routine
Of dog and ball in unification
Again, and again he jumps and catches
Demonstrating, and refining his skill
She pads her paws, flexes claws, and scratches
Muscles now taut, as she waits for the kill

She pounces so fast, appears as a blur
Grabs at his tail as it swings in mid swish
That mischievous elf covered in fur
Managed to fulfil her kittenish wish

She saunters off, knowing she has done well
Nonchalantly he stops, to sniff a smell
...

Well you doggedly managed to achieve this without catastrophe - a clever poem. I liked it.

I liked this poem, but it's obviously not based on my cat as she even runs away from birds. lol!
