| When springtime dissolved into summer, I tended to seem ever glummer. craved (I might guess) the lovely distress of being each moment's regummer.

Sculpture hangs from every tree
Nature’s fingers shape, and mould
In icy white of bitter cold
Traffic wardens, issue no fines
Unable to see, yellow lines
Suspended by cold, those we hate
Blinking good job they can’t ice skate

| Frozen
Took the camper van
for a weekend by the sea
parked it on the front
‘cos parking there is free
strolled down to the cafe
fish and chips for tea
then into the pub
for an alcoholic bevy
crawled to bed much later
just gone half past three
the temperature had dropped
well beyond frigidity
woke up late this morning
to a world turned all icy
and the doors are frozen shut
what a catastrophe!
my membership has lapsed
with the RAC
so now I sit here hoping
someone will come to de-ice me
