Pig Talk

Pigs are not dirty
They are so smart
Strange little creature
But they do have a heart
Pigs are funny
They can also dream
And see in colour
Yet stay really clean

Pigs are sociable
They are plump
Either black or pink
Have rather big rumps
Sleep nose to nose
On hot summer nights
Pigs snuggle close
But they don’t fight.

Pigs like affection
So fond of play
Just like children
Would stay out all day
Pigs have a sweet tooth
Also have tantrums too
Have a short attention span
But are loyal and true
.
Pigs need protection
From the hot sun
Also from flies
That is no fun
Pigs are so nervous
Do not like water
If they get overheated
Rolling in mud is better

It may be a fun poem but its words are true. Nice one, Doreen.

Most dislike is about
Their snotty little snout
And at their core
Something wild
Quite unsure
For as they rout
Always a slight doubt
Is it a wild bore
Awaiting to gnore

I liked this one, Doreen. Do you or have you ever kept pigs? You obviously know a lot about them.

No Jo someone on another site said Pigs were their favourite animal so I read up about them and hence I wrote the poem. Because you don't get many people writing poems about them

I love this poem to pigs, Doreen ....as you say, they don't normally get a poem written for them, and are much nicer animals than people realise!
