PostSubject: REGRETTABLE   Mon Aug 23, 2010 6:59 pm

She is far from being perfect and has day
To day battles, there quite often she does lose;
Because of this, she will not allow her heart to
Be agitated but plan ways that she may choose.

She believes she has the strength and will to
Cope with faults, righting wrongs, best she knows how;
She is sorry, years ago, she did not show more
Love her family and friends so she'll try changing now.

She does think she is a better person today than
She was sometime ago, liking now to really share;
Sitting in the quiet, she searches out her soul or
Support and brighter life to spend with all who care.

Her hope is that all blessings received in the
Past will continue and her love now happiness bring;
She may still trip up occasionally but will give
More joys to others with love that's true, a good thing.

It is difficult to change your way of life and difficult also to change your perspective of someone. I think you tackle both these ideas in an interesting way.

Every person has her or his doubts and makes many mistakes. What counts is that you don't give up. What counts is that you hold on to your personality and not try to please others in such a way that you become a puppet on a string and everyone else is pulling the strings. What counts is that you know at the end of the line you tried your best to become a nice person who has improved in some kind of a way. What counts is that you are not too critical of yourself. No one will ever be perfect. With all the things going through your head life seems a continuous struggle. Even at the end you will still have questions about the things you have done and the decisions you have taken. Whatever you do it represents your personality and the way you are and many will appreciate you for that. A very nice poem.

I think we should learn from mistakes, move on, and become better people for that. I liked your poem.
