I

made myself
as I am today
all the mistakes
made on the way
were mine
and the triumphs too
though those in comparison
have been few
sometimes happy
often sad
not always good
never really bad
memories to
remember or forget
the best thing is
life’s not done with me yet

We are being molded and shaped by our experiences and choices all our lives. You have a lot to experience yet, Rose.

Of course, SOMETIMES life not being through with you yet, just means it's about ready to kick you down a few MORE flights of stairs.....Yet, your poem (and your life, actually!) contradicts my silly cynicism, so all my congratulations to you and Steve as you start to head right back UP those stairs (whoops, a LITTLE cynicism peeked through....pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!)
