PostSubject: Why Ask   Mon Aug 09, 2010 10:52 am

Why ask if you know the answer?
No matter what others may say
You really don’t want their opinion
You will just do things your own way

So just do what you really feel like
Don’t ask for advice from others
Make all of your own mistakes
Without help from your sisters or brothers

But be always prepared to be wrong
And accept that you are to blame
Others opinions are quite often right
Although you don’t think the same

If you don't take the advice, at least accept the blame. How true, Ian.

It is so true that people ask advice, when their minds are made up anyway - for what it's worth, I usually give it, so they can't come back afterwards and say 'Why didn't you warn me' !

It sounds as if something frustrating has happened to you to warrant this poem. People are often set in their way of thinking, it's true, and reluctant to change.

Ian,
I've given out plenty of advice in my day, and very rarely do the people I give it to follow it, or sometimes even want to hear it, so I get this poem. Some people can be so stubborn, but of course it is their own fault if they aren't willing to listen to good advice.
Your friend,
David Fox
