PostSubject: Moontangled rain.   Thu Aug 05, 2010 11:10 am

Moon tangled rain danced around in the night
With the evening laced silence pulsatingly bright
As long silver lined fingers threw diamonds around
To each shimmering puddle world set in the ground,
Eyes shine forth from doorways, caught fast in the rain
And those jewels in ebony seek to explain
Why time can be holy when dipped in the shade
And be unaware of night psalms as they fade.

He stood on the cliff and looked down at himself
Looking up at a bookend alone on the shelf,
For her words had all flown in an evening of sighs
Like the dreams in her heart, and the love in her eyes,
Even loneliness felt steeped in comfort to him
More so than the sea where his promises swim,
For his handkerchief held the dried pearls from her eyes
Intermingled together , two lost lover’s cries.

As gulls carved a moon painted lattice work lace
The breeze carried yesterday off from his face,
And the stars spelled her name out with silver soft flair
While he stood and went over his memories there,
Until time tangled tensions cast off from his heart
As he vowed to his penitence for a new start,
The moon shaped her tears on a manuscript cloud
And wrapped up his mistakes in a yesterday shroud…

I can think of no better setting to recall fond memories, and all the freshness of such an evening to clear ones thoughts.

I could picture the swirling waves far below Keith.

Ah! You show so well the yearning for times past when a relationship was alive and warming in comparison with present desolation. Magically but sadly penned.

Take care, Keith.

An excellent poetic walk through the rainy streets to the lonely clifftop, Keith. I particularly like the first verse
