| I may as well choose the obvious subject then... and apologies to Eunice in NZ. The subject is Summer Holidays.
Any poem about Summer Holidays, perhaps you remember one, or are about to go, are the kids excited, bored, being a pain on a long car journey ?
Good Luck Steve. _________________ Steve www.noaddress.co.uk

| Summer colours
A red hot sunny day Children happily at play. Golden beaches, blue seas Salty air with cool breeze.
Soothing songbirds, azure skies Watching colourful butterflies. Barefoot walking, holding hands Digging toes in sun warmed sand.
Finally as day is done, They sit and watch the setting sun

| Holidays
Rush and scramble it's packing blues "Don't forget books, and socks and shoes." Everything placed just so in the case For we're off, we're offf to the holiday place.
The sky is blue and the sea even bluer Life is easy, exciting and enjoyment is truer Work is left right behind and we're just having fun Enjoying the swimming and walking and sun
No need to cook or to think about meals For it's all provided with ease and no squeals No bills through the post or difficult relations Just focusing on now and train times at the stations
But wait now is it really the end so soon? Do we have to go this afternoon? All packed we board the coach going home Vowing to ensure we remember to roam
For we don't have to wait for the holiday lull To make sure we enjoy our life to the full We can also make plans for our next time away And start getting excited for another day.
