Sweat.

Fan blades turn
Each in succession
Struggle to stave
This humid oppression

Eyelids as heavy
As the air that surrounds
Tossing and turning
For sleep, which confounds

Oh’ for a breeze
A sweet cooling storm
Restless in heat
Night sultry, and warm

It certainly has been hot this summer- goodness knows what it is like in the USA!! I often end up sleeping on top of the bedclothes!
