Quite ready for wonderful 'brekkers,'
my paper and I are firm trekkers.
We chant loud hosannas
while corn and bananas
remind us to crave better crackers.

Peace To Read

The only place a family man
can get some peace and quiet
is sitting out here on the loo,
all fellows ought to try it.
I bring the morning paper here
so I can take my time,
otherwise it's nag, nag, nag.
you'd think it was a crime.

I love to read "Banana News",
it starts my day off right.
The morning is my favourite time,
I'm far too tired at night.
Oh dear! She's knocking at the door.
No peace I ever get.
"Woman, let me sit a while.
I am not finished yet".

O well, I guess I'd better go,
I've finished all my reading.
I really love my woman but
she's cranky when she's breeding.
I'll just sit here a minute more,
enjoy the peace and quiet.
The kids are now all out of bed
so the house will be a riot.

Sitting alone on the loo
With my mind on not what I should do
As the paper I read
Which doesn't make speed
So a poo can take quite a few.

As a hint not to be too long
She wanted to go to the sales
Bargains going for a song

But a man has to do,
What a man has to do
And the only place she can't get me
Is when I'm sitting on the loo

I've read it from front to back
Now I'm going the other way
By the time I get back to bananas
The shops will be closed for the day

But what's that she said?
A cup of PG Tips?
Out in a jiffy, love
With a smacking of the lips

I'm keeping the best news till last
Up to then I'm having a fast
looking at sport
don't want to be caught
yearning for bananas long passed!

Well done all this months entrants, and all very clean poems too
I guess I have to choose a winner, so I reckon Eunice put a lot of effort into her poem.
