A billion minds find splendid rest
while heeding some basic behest.
That very commanding
projects forms of landing
on planets beset by a pest.

A myriad books have been read
By persons relaxing in bed
On going to sleep
The images keep
Repeating themselves in their head

My bellowing focus(s)ed on dreaming
of starlight bereft of much gleaming.
I often intoned
as if I condoned
all engines proficient at steaming.

My curses are mainly at football
Though a nun can me silence with foot-fall
My team lacks all sense
Which leaves me incensed
Thus leaving the fall-out quite soot-all

Some hatchers of curses created
large worlds that stayed rather sedated.
Life's main expertise
consisted of geese
that somehow seemed nicely elated.

A catcher of verses just thought
if he tried hard enough he'd be brought
to London to spout
or New York to shout:
But too many thought him too taut.

Condemned are the properties of
that little old thing known as "love."
To be quite desireful
can seem twice as mireful
as something produced by a dove.

Wherever I wander with you,
I know that all worlds stay brand-new.
I even should cherish
some ways folks must perish
in manners that never were true.

If ever I go to Hong Kong
I'll sing as I travel along
I'll not be shy
When I go out to buy
As I don't want to pay what is wrong.

Considering Nature -- say -- twice,
I sensed how fine structures suffice.
They pour tons of coffee
and nibble mere toffee
while offering poi mixed with rice.

A beautiful truth I once captured
Which made my feelings enraptured
Though (being laconic)
'Twas just gin and tonic
And my face by the barmaid was slaptured

The concept of Truth brought me beauty
and helped me to stay downright snooty.
I passed you a glass,
you very sweet lass,
as often had been my main duty.

My concubines teach me a lot
by deeming me chock-ful of rot.
I thank those fine wenches
by sitting on benches
and seeming to dash dot on dot.

A sailor once had a fine daughter
Who, strangely, was scared of the water
When out in a boat
he forced her to float
She struggled quite hard but he fought her.

You've scolded the hearts of your heart
for having no courses to chart.
A sharp young observer
might guess you're a swerver
who nonetheless fashions great art.

The meaning of life must be this,
that every last snake has to hiss.
We fight wondrous battles
by teaching big rattles
to dive in some splendid abyss.

A warlock I met at a bar
seemed able to travel quite far.
I sent him a cable
and called him "Clark Gable --
life's answer to mop and to tar."

A witch, every which way but loose
Went trick-or treating--what use?
No candy for her
The ugly old cur
She'd been better off hunting a moose

Many years have passed by since my youth
I'm not quite as spry, that's the truth
I no longer run
But I still have fun
There's still life within me, for soothe.

The years rebeguiled every hour
by singing of purpose and power.
The centuries chuckled,
since they, too, seemed knuckled
with force twice as bright as a flower.

I once met a girl with fine features
inviting to myriad creatures.
That gal had the grace
to spit in my face
and call me the foremost of teachers.

I once met a man with a squint
he also liked to suck mints
so his breath did smell
and he often fell
yet his eyes did have a glint

Involvement is something that helps
my heartstrings respawn countless whelps.
I find that my labors
persuade many neighbors
to mimic brave motions of kelps.

but water which turns into wine
is the magic of a wonderful vine
as we drink a toast
to the generous host
we're transported to laughter with shine

When water comes back to my life,
I sense I epitomize strife.
The moistness of water
encumbers each daughter
with starkness as sharp as a knife.
