A storm all over the country, bringing high winds, snow and rain. There are trees and powerlines down and roofs off, as well as flooding and slips. So much snow in Invercargill that the sports pavillion roof caved in. It was not all that old either.The roof of a supermarket also collapsed.

Very wet early this very early morning, but it cleared & we have had sunshine since & it's warm again.

This lousy rain never stops. Grey days are getting me down.

I hope so too, Val. So many people have damaged or ruined homes. We have had two smaller earthquakes today further down the North Island. Christchurch is still suffering strong after shocks which are adding to the damage.

Here we have had another damp day.

I have a pen pal who lives in Christchurch, Eunice, I hope she is OK.

Not nice here, wet all day. It stopped as it got dark Typical! & I can see the millions of stars in the sky.

What with earthquake damage in my old home town of Christchurch, and flooded roads and properties in the lower North Island, I am grateful that the worst we are enduring is heavy rain.

A horrible day for the second of spring....grey, cold, wet.

A lovely day for the first day of spring.

Yesterday was glorious, sunshine not a cloud in the sky & warm, it would have been very hot, but a slight breeze kept the temperature just right.
Same today, but a bit more cloudy & the breeze is stronger too. It is warm.

Yesterday was a lovely day but today is grey and overcast again. It looks as though we may have yet more rain. Sigh!!!

Horrible where I was today, Shepton Mallet. Windy with showers, sometimes very heavy, chilly too.

We had some hail with the rain this morning. The wind blew it almost sidewards. It only lasted about 15 mins but was very fierce. I would hate to have been caught out in it.

Val, your summer sounds more like our winter. Apparantly we are in an el Nina weather pattern and it is going to be wet here till the end of this year. It is raining off and on again today but not really cold.

Wet all day yesterday & got worse towards evening. Today slightly brighter, not as much rain, but no sun & chilly all day.

We've had sun for the last two days. Yesterday the wind was cold but warmer today, although we were forecasted for rain.

Wet yesterday morning, but it turned out sunny & warm in the afternoon.
Today it's a wet morning again. Misty, grey & not very warm.

It was very wet this morning, but brighter now & a glimpse of the sun sometimes too.

Much the same today, far too wet for car boot sales too.

Raining - yesterday was dull and the forecast for today was supposed to be better, but no! And I wanted to garden today as well!!
