BABY DARLING

Look at you darling baby so pure and so sweet
Right from your hands down to your tiny feet
Blonde hair and eyes so bright blue
Deep and mysterious and oh how I love you

Skin as soft as the clouds up above
You look like an angel sent from Heaven above
Chubby and precious you light up my life
You hold so much meaning all gone is my strife

A face so beautiful a laugh so intense
All this waiting sure made so much sense
You smile each time I come near and say hello
All of these hugs kisses and love I bestow

My darling daughter you empower me with delight
I love to hold you each morning noon and night
Rocking you to sleep is my absolute peace
Nothing is more joyful than to give you a squeeze

Gazing at the camera which has seen
The chance, the opportunity
To capture her for posterity
No matter how many years pass by
If clouds gather, darkening the sky
Pause your thoughts and take a while
Reach for sunshine in her smile
