| This won 3rd Place Poem of the Week on Lavendar Mist and is one of my favorites so I figured I'd post it again:
I wish for unity I wish for peace How I wish This war would cease Though I know I could write a thousand poems People will still lose Their families and homes. In God's eyes I am a believe But to everyone else I'm just a dreamer.

| Shades of John Lennon in this one David, the sentiments and poem are definitely worth another airing. |

| Thanks Doreen, Steve and Rose. When I first posted this it seemed like everyone was "gung ho" for the war. The dream, if any, in ths poem is to see if someone can, or will, stop it. Obama promised he would if people remember, but it doesn't seem if he can or even wants to now. The whole thing makes me sad. But I must tread on, and will, to happier thoughts. Yours truly, David Fox |
