Descending Mist

Mist descends day by day
till all are slowly slipping away
new skies beckon, worn slippers fail
who will ride the Lavendar Ship and sail?

Poetic words now few and far
no talk in type just sad memoir
a time for endings a time for tears
as the reckoning hour draws ever near

If reprise could find a way
I surely would not call it a day
No miracles bound, no vitality
leaves me so tired, no ability

When the setting winter sun
looks down across the haze begun
no longer rhymes nor rhythms flow
we know its time, we have to go

A tear falls, I cannot cope
what is there left but little hope?
my heart, my soul, my Lavendar Mist
no longer open to exist

*My final tribute to Lavendar Mist,
still in my heart and soul and very
much missed*

Obviously a very sad time for you Karen.
Strange how things turn out sometimes, and at least a lot of your poetic aquantancies are still around.
A fine tribute and re-post.

A beautiful poem of your lost venture, Karen, but always remembered with deep fondness.

I was never on Mist, Karen, but I used to read the poetry, and I was sad when it closed
and this is a sad write from you
