PostSubject: The Edge of Life   Mon Feb 08, 2010 12:32 pm

Hear I stand on the edge of life
Looking back at what I’ve become
Nothing special just a trail travesty of pain
all of those things that can’t be undone

Hear I stand on the edge of life
To you it must be absurd
The tears keep rolling down my face
My words are never heard

When I was young nothing mattered
I watched as my childhood
Was never happy or carefree
Growing into an adult
They really misunderstood
Me

Hear I stand on the edge of life
After this nothing will be the same
To go forward into the light
Or remain forever in pain

Hear I stand on the edge of life
Pleading with my very soul
Just for someone to understand me
Someone to make me whole

My children when small were taken
The man I love never really loved me
The little one is lost but not forsaken
On a path of uncertainty

Hear I stand on the edge of life
Will I be there to catch?
The fledgling this time if he falls
Or will my doubts and insecurities
Dam us all

Hmm , not sure of the answer to this one, except that standing on the edge is the place to watch from, for a better view
but not the best place to be if you need help, or to help someone else
much better to be in the middle, even if you get hurt there

Welcome back, Jayne. It seems that you have gone through a very trying time. I do hope your life is taking a turn for the better now. Writing of deep feelings and pain is good therapy and I hope it has helped in your case.

There is such heartache in this poem Jayne, that it hurts me just to read it, yet how much worse must you be feeling to live it? I know you are not a quitter and also that life still holds future promise for you, so know that you have many people who care about you very much. Keith.

The edge of life.. should be the start of the path to the future, past sadnesses will be kept safe, but the future can be brighter.

Jayne,
This is a heart rending poem. It sounds as if you have been through such a terrible time. Hiowever if you are on the edge, think of this as being on thebeginnign of something new, a new phase of life, the edge of it as yet, which I hope will turn into a more positive experience than you have had up to now and I do hope yo uget the support you obviously need right now..

Keep writing.
