The light that shone throughout the world
From that first Easter morn
Is still as bright and strong today
As when it first was born

It has lasted now two thousand years
And will last many more
So let us the message spread abroad
From shore to farthest shore

Tell out of how our Saviour died
To cancel all our sin
So let us open up our hearts
And let our Lord come in

Each year as Easter comes around
Let us the whole world show
The joy of having constant faith
In the Lord that we all know

For future generations
Long after we have gone
The glorious light of Easter
We are sure will still shine on

Good poem, Ian; Rose's question made me want to look on the calendar and look up the date. The year is flying fast, we are already in the 3rd week of January it will be upon us before we know it (April 4th=Easter this year).

Hi Jo the idea has crossed my mind and I have compiled a short collection which s still too sparse to print in book form but thought of doing a colledtion of poems and prayers
