PostSubject: A Daffodil   Thu Jul 29, 2010 10:48 am

I saw a daffodil yesterday,
oh what a lovely sight,
golden in its garden bed
it filled me with delight.

I saw a daffodil yesterday
one lovely yellow thing.
It made me happy, seeing it,
this herald of the spring.

I saw a daffodil yesterday,
What joy to see it bloom.
My heart rejoiced for now I know
soon springtime will resume.

I saw a daffodil yesterday,
soon they will fill our land.
Our garden beds will blossom forth,
spring flowers on every hand.

There is as you say so eloquently, something so hopeful about daffodils- a sign of the wonders of the year yet to come. Enjoy your Spring, Eunice.

Eunice,
Beautiful poem about a daffodil. Congratulations on breaking your writer's block, too.
Your friend,

I shall imagine you tiptoeing through the tulips towards summer Eunice, and congratulations for poem of the week.
