Stargazing.
On terra firma, we search wide and far
For tell tale signs, of some distant planets
Watching, and waiting, as light from a star
Slowly fades, as worlds complete their transits
Planets revolve around another Sun
Science looks for the light differential
Always to wonder, if this is the one
Whereupon life, would prove quintessential
And if such a world can be detected
Mankind advances, to the speed of light
Crosses the void, his target selected
Overcoming the perils of space flight
Though eons may pass, with nothing to show
Star systems exploded, light years ago
