For no freedoms do they allow
Their imprisonement chains
And frazzles our brains
If we see them as gods and kow tow.

OUR SCHEDULES
Our schedules demand we be prompt,
lest much of our glory seem stomped
straight out of existence
and lend our persistence
the notion life always was whomped.

like any young dervish
obliged to feel nervish
when met by the staringest squirrel.

We tarry and ferry along,
sith English indeed is a gong
perplexingly ready
to stay halfway steady
while shredding each moribund song.

We carry along and along
Because our fine language is strong
It may be non-sensical
But we stay defencible
Even if we are proved wrong.

THE TOMES
The tomes of the planet are many,
and each may be worth half a penny,
as language stays cheap
and paper can't keep
life's heartstrings from nosedives un-Zenny.
