There are often calls about the end of the world and so far we are all still here....Iran is dangerous, but we have to just stand back and let the politicians try their best to sort it out. There is a measure of resistsnce to the regime in Iran from bright Iranians themselves so something will have to change there. Hopefully they will sort it out themselves and it will not involve our armed forces.....with more of our young boys killed.

I have read it over and over, my views are
personally the average person can do nothing
to stop any of this, what is written will be
played out, maybe as it was said the war
to end all wars, I hate it just as much as the
next, and what about the mayan calendar
if thats true none of us will exist after dec 2012

You are so right Val and I'm happy that you took the trouble to comment on this subject. I seem to be calling out in the desert with no one listening. It is true that the UN can't allow any country to form a threat to other peaceloving countries. The United States and Great Brittain took the trouble to invade Iraq and than it turned out there were no weapons of mass destruction. This time it is absolutely sure that there are weapons of mass destruction in Iran. They may try diplomacy and sanctions but I don't think it's gonna do much good. The iranian president is a fanatic and far more dangerous than Saddam Hussein ever was in his best days. From the statements he sometimes comes out with you can only draw the conclusion that he is completely deranged. Therefore the western world can't wait too long to take action. I wonder what the future will bring.

I found this link, Berry.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-10755700

How can making nuclear weapons be for peaceful purposes. The Iranian government is a treat to peace in what they are doing.
Dreadful if it does turn out another war in the Gulf, but the World, as in the UN can't let one countries governments pose a threat to any other country.
Let us hope diplomacy wins before it comes to war.

I just read in the newspaper that the European Union has taken a considerable number of measurements against Iran. The iranian president has threatened Europe and warned that they will be very sorry if they go through with this. Also repeatedly he has threatened to wipe out Israel. We all know that Iran is very busy with the developements of nuclear weapons. At the moment long distance rockets are built that can reach Europe. This president is a maniac and capable of doing all kind of crazy things. Therefore sanctions won't have any effect. Personally I believe this is gonna end in another gulfwar. What is your opinion? What do you think is necessary to eliminate this increasing danger coming from Iran?
