Classing myself in the normal category, an assumption I know !
I would take a slight hint that my poetry had not been acknowledged to its full capacity, however if I were posting my lifes work, meagre as it may be, perhaps I would not notice the lack of interaction..
Therin lay the conundrum.
Quantity versus quality, so I have cast my vote.

Steve who only publishes rubbish once or twice a week, and expects the silence of debate to remain a good one, Riggs.

They all seem to be doing that, Rowan, on this board.

Well, moi aussi, I post only rarely and what's good for me is not, I recognise, good for everyone.

Nevertheless, I can see that - how can I put this? - there is an 'exuberance' with certain posters which threatens to swamp the efforts of all others.

Exuberance is all well and good but, unless the technology allows pages to be 'stretched' beyond current capacity there is the risk that worthy poetic efforts will disappear off into that pit of despair whose name is page 2 and never stand the chance of being read!

This is why I think it reasonable to call for a limit.

Nor, I imagine, would the vast majority of fellow scribblers...

Er, is there any reason this thread is developing upside down...?

Is there a need by any chance for a limit of, say, 3 or 4 postings per week by any one contributor to the poetry forum..?

Do you know... I have no idea at all why that thought should suddenly have sprung to mind...

... he said...

... with tongue very firmly in cheek...
