Wow seems I never stop. Coming and going, visiting my brother in hospital,(and by the way he's doing better these days). Thursday they put a shunt i his brain to drain fluid from his brain to his stomach. I hope that's the last surgery he has. But it had to be done. I did get over last week for a visit. he was presented with a lot of gifts. it was his 54th birthday. He got hats, gloves, pj's,pants, shirts, robe, treats and drinks. He was so excited and so pleased. he wore one fo the winter hats right away and left it on. It was tooo cute.
I am kept busy a lot now with the holidays approaching quickly and am doing a lot o cleaning for myself and for my mother. So I don't get a lot of time to relx. But It's alright. I wouldn't change it for anything.
Bye for now...see you next time...soon !

The days go by so fast seems there's not much time for some things. But I managed to get some time to blog so here goes. The days here are getting colder and windier. Soon I expect we'll have some snow. I am predicting it will be early this year. A town close by near where I live got pounded already. Some today and they are getting more overnight. Actually I am waiting patiently for our first snowfall. it gives me the christmas holiday feeling.

My brother I'm happy to say is doing well. He is moving his hands and legs, talking, and started rehabilitation sessions. He is waiting for another surgery to put the piece of bone back that they took out. I hope it happens soon so he can start recuperating from that.

Have been visiting at the hospital for the last 10 days. Visiting my brother who has sustained brain injury. Slowly recovering. It will be a long slow progress. He has been sedated since he went there last Sunday morning. He had a fall and hit his head. Today , Wednesday they did a tracheotomy so he could speak and breath without the use of a machine. I am hoping and praying he comes through well. He was also paralyzed on his left side. Hope to get over tomorrow with other family to visit with him. Anyone who reads this please say a prayer for him.
Thank You xo

Today my neice wiped my computer clean. It had a lot of bugs in it. She is so kind to do that for me and I am grateful. It has been so humid and warm here the last couple of weeks. Hope to have some relief soon.

Had two days sopping up water in my mums basement. Her basement floods every time we have a bad rain. Thankfully it is all sopped up after her son in law coming up and freeing a rock from down in the sump pump and then the water gushed out. So yesterday and today I was over there mopping and sucking up water with the help of one of my sisters. Mum is pleased with our accomplishments. Good until the next time.

Very humid and misty out today. Sweating here in my house even with my ceiling fan going. Hope for some relief soon. Not looking good for the rest of the summer either. A sunny day here and a sunny day there that's about it.

Today I was so busy doing housework and errands. It was so hot outside. Mum had a hired young man come to cut her grass. He wore a black t- shirt and blue jeans and a hoodie. He was already sweating then he put on his hoodie. I said "Yu're going to sweat more".Then he replied " At least I won't get burned ". He missed a few spots so I'll finish it tomorrow for her.

Summer still hasn't arrived here in N.S. Cloudy damp drizzly wet weather hampers our summer. happens every year. We are famous for this type of summer weather but every year I hope for a change with some warm sunny dry summer days. Hasn't happened yet.

I'm starting my summer vacation from taking my neices and nephew to school. So far we had fog, drizzle, rain, and mist so summer vacation is not off to a great start. Hopefully soon the sun will show it's bright happy face.

I had a wonderful suprise visit yesterday from my oldest daughter Michelle. She lives thousands of miles away from me. She called to let me know she was four hours away in Cape breton, a part of nova Scotia to attend a funeral related to her boyfriend. And she asked if she could spend the night before leaving to go back to Cape breton until thursday when they will fly back to Calgary where they both live. it was a wonderful but short visit. I was so thrilled. It was wonderful !

I got a new kitten last week. I let him outside for the first time today. When I was coming up my street from the school a next door neighbor had him sitting on her lap. She asked me " Did you lose a kitten ? " I replied " No I didn't lose one I let him outside because it was such a nice day. He is still over at her place. She said she gave him a piece of ham and she hoped it was alright. I left my door open to let him come back in. He hasn't come back as of yet. I told her he will probably make frequent trips over there now that she fed him. I am trying to find someone to take him but no calls yet. I can't keep him where I am. he is too active and I am out most of the day and part of the evening. So it's better for someone who can spend a lot of time with him. I got him from my sister. Her daughter named him Shiloh. He is adorable but at my age I can't look after a kitten/ cat this time in my life.

I will be attending another funeral soon. A dear close friend of the family and related to my sister because she was married to one of his sons but had divorced over the years died today. My sisters oldest child called crying very hard and said it wouldn't be long. It was only a couple of hours later he was gone. He was about 76 or 77 I'm not sure.
Please excuse me for writing about this but I was on reading others work and decided why not. We talk about all subjects no matter if they are painful or not. I apologise if this is emotional for any who might read this. I was only writing about something that touched me today.
Thanks for understanding.

Today I made a stew and tea biscuits to take over to my mother's place. We are having dinner together. She is having cherry cake for dessert. It will be a delicious dinner I must say. We will have tea with the meal. After dinner we will watch a movie " Perfect Stranger" with Halle Berry & Bruce Willis. It sounds like a good movie. Then I will come home and will be watching Desperate Housewives.
I'll be back again soon.
Bye...Margaret

Today we had a sunny day with a nice breeze. Our first nice day since the winter ended which was only a few weeks ago. It was beautiful. I didn't get to enjoy it like I wanted too because of having to go to the school but at least I got to walk home after I got my neice and nephew home. I am looking forward to walking after dinner most evenings and lose some weight. I gained a lot since before christmas & new years and I need to lose some for health sake.

I'll be back again soon.

I had a wonderful Easter. I hope all of you did also. I will be leaving to go to my mothers soon so I wish you all a great day. I can't believe it is April 13th and the weather man is still predicting snow. But it is not unusual for us. We have had snow in May, June, and july in previous years so I'm not surprised. oh well, summer will be here sometime.

PostSubject: Re: Margaret's Blog   Mon Mar 23, 2009 1:52 am

Last week Sunday to be exat I went to an easter bingo up the road from me. Every year the lion's club holds easter and christmas bingos to raise money for our community. I played for myself and mum. I won her a casserole dish set. A three game set and a four mug set. She was thrilled for the casserole dish set but she gave the game set to my sister for her kids. And the mugs she gave to another sister.
That was a good idea. I as well as a lot of my sisters have plenty of mugs so we didn't need them.
I went again today the 22nd of March but never won anything. It was so much fun though. I don't play bingo often usually just when they hold the christmas & Easter bingos. They have nice prizes, grocery certificates and cash. They will be holding one more bingo next sunday. mum didn't go to the first three and I missed the first one but she might go to the last one. I hope so. And I hope we both win a nice prize or cash.
Also prizes like towels, iron, toaster, mugs, kids toys, dish towels or dish cloths, and other items I can't remember at this time. But all in all some enjoyable days.

Well I was busy today doing tasks for my mother. And cleaning some of my place. Taking my neice to school and bringing her home. Just when I think it's the end of snow we are getting 5 or more centimetres tomorrow afternoon then changing to rain. More slush ! Grrrr ! I am so looking forward to spring and summer. I love the winter but this season has been long and we had snow every week since winter began. I think the last time we had this much snow I was a young child.

On a happier note I have two plants in my house and they aare growing so well. Maybe it's all that snow....LOL I love the plants. They both have new leaves sprouting out. I am proud of them. One my sister gave me and the other is one my aunt gave me. It is special because she passed away a few years ago. I never had any plants before I got these.

If anyone who reads this knows anything about Norma Southwood please email me and let me know how she is. I emailed her but got no response as of yet. I chatted back and forth when we were both on Lavendar-mist. But since it closed I haven't heard from her. I miss her and hope to hear from her again soon.

I want to keep in touch and keep the chats going. She is one of my best previous lavendar-mist chat friends. Also Gloria Plamitier. I don't hear from her much anymore but she does sign in to msn once in a while and we catch up on each others happenings.

That's all for this time.
Bye for now

PostSubject: Re: Margaret's Blog   Sun Feb 08, 2009 2:10 am

It is saturday evening. I went to church earlier then went to my mothers. Her birthday is Wednesday but we clebrated it tonight because her and some of my sisters play cards each saturday and we always celebrate each others birthday on card night. She got lots of beautiful gifts, cards, tickets, and cash. I took my camcorder but couldn't use it because the battery was weak and it wouldn't stay on. You can just imagine my dissappointment and frust=ration. But one of my sisters brought her digital camera so I can get the photos from her. I have my camcorder charging as I type this. Taught me to check ahead of time to make sure the battery is fully charged before special occasions. Tomorrow mum will be busy scratching her tickets. Of course she won't do them all. She enjoys doing a few at a time. her hands get tired and sore as she has arthritis in her fingers and they have large knuckles so they pain when she uses them for a long time.
I am home now for the evening so I can relax or take a nap or watch tv . I will probably do all three. Week -ends are my only time in the aafternoon and evenings to catch up on rest. I have lots of housework to be done but I will do whatever I can in the afternoons when I'm home. Well there's not much to write about at this time except what I aalreadfy wrote about. So I'll say bye for now. I hope each and everyone of you have many great days and evenings.
Bye for now
Margaret xo
